THE ASSOCIATION IS ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF THE GRAPE WINE INDUSTRY IN CLARK, COWLITZ, Skamania, AND LEWIS Counties, in SW WASHINGTON.

We accomplish this by fostering a positive business climate for the wine industry in the region by working cooperatively with local, county, and state leaders in order to support and further develop sustainable, responsible, and environmentally friendly enterprises related to wine making, viticulture, and tasting room experiences…

By seeking funds from the public and governments to support the organization's programs and services…

And by fostering and facilitating, in cooperation with growers and wineries in the region, the development of a cooperative initiative to research, and establish a viable American Viticultural Area in Southwest Washington.

The association was formed in 2016 with 11 wineries as members. It’s structured as a 501 non-profit organization and consists of a four-tier membership program. We currently have six directors on our board who oversee adherence to the ByLaws. Standing committees of the SWWA are Nominating, Marketing, Membership, Budget & Finance, Audit, and just recently added, Education. Each year the SWWA sponsors four collaborative weekend events, and as of 2019, the association has added an annual fundraising event called Savor.
